The position reports to the CEO in GRIFF Aviation.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

You will work with the design and development of electronics and electrical systems used in our unique drone technology. You will have independent and varied tasks and work closely with committed and skilled colleagues. We have a multidisciplinary team consisting of experts in electronics, programming, avionics and mechanics. Together we design and develop 95 % of the components in the vessels in-house in close contact with customers and an international supplier network.

Your other areas of responsibility will be

  • Developing both analogue and digital electronics, including simulation
  • Designing and developing circuit board layouts and electrical system design 
  • Developing test system for use in production
  • Build circuit board prototypes, documentation and testing the functionality 
  • Safety and reliability analyses, including documentation of compliance with standards and regulations
  • Continuous improvement of products and processes
  • Occasional international travels 

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who has more than three years of experience with design, development and production of electronics, preferably from the aviation, offshore, or defence industries. 

As a person, you enjoy a hectic and varied work day where you solve problems and develop innovative solutions. You appreciate a flat company structure and you have excellent collaboration skills. In order to thrive in this position we reckon you are motivated by continuous improvement and contributing to finding the best solutions. You take initiative and have the ability to make decisions. We will value that you are results-oriented and structured, and have good analytical skills combined with a practical ability. 

It is also desirable that you have

  • Technical education (BSc or MSc), preferably from electronics
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience with analysis, design and documentation in connection with product certification (for e.g. aviation, defence, medicine etc.)
  • Experience from from work in a development environment
